Winston Churchill once said “a polo handicap is a persons ticket to the world,” this is seen true time and time again with many young Australians trading their gap year abroad to work and play internationally.
Venture Polo’s overall goal is to develop and encourage youths within the sport of polo; providing students with a safe, controlled environment to learn and play.
Through our school’s program, we are proud to manage and coach a number of youths, some starting as young as 5 years old. All pupils are welcome, no matter their previous riding experience.
School Holiday Programs
Each school holidays, Venture Polo holds an intensive week-long polo clinic. The clinic provides kids with a comprehensive overview of the game; focusing on polo technique/riding, rules and game play. Clinics cater for both beginner and amateur players.
Each key area of focus is analysed, taught and practised over a 4-hour period; providing attendees with the opportunity and time to refine all facets of their game. Each day concludes with chukkas to bring everything together.

School Curricular Program
A curricular program can be customised to meet the specific needs and expectations of your school. With this, we recommend participants try to stick to a weekly schedule over the course of the term, to ensure that all areas of focus are covered week to week.
The program will look to initially engage and teach students the fundamentals of the game, with a long term goal of establishing an interschool fixture.
How does it work?
Typically a school will have a master in charge of polo or a parent taking on the role. The school will then work with Venture Polo to devise a program that suits the involved individuals. The master in charge will inform us of who is attending and we will have all the horses prepared for their arrival.
From specified team coaching to one-on-one youth training – success and enjoyment are our goals.
